This year has seen Melissa Brethauer (pronounced BRETT-how-er) really on the move. In early 2011 she spent a week in Nashville , where she played four shows in five nights in addition to co-writing and other meetings, appointments, and business. She also got invited to make her Las Vegas debut – at the age of just 21 – playing on ‘The Strip’ at the House of Blues (at Mandalay Bay ). Among her other performances this year was the 4th Sarasota Songwriters Festival. Along the way music from this Central Florida-based singer/songwriter has been purchased by listeners from as far away as New York , Texas , California , Hawaii , and Japan . And digital download activity has even been recorded from iTunes Europe ! Now age 22, this is Melissa’s second consecutive year at the Pensacola Beach Songwriters Festival.
