Michael Wheeler, a Pensacola native, began his musical career at age ten playing piano, but but picked up the guitar shortly after. He’s been writing music since age 12, releasing an album of original work in the early 80s titled Illusions, which featured an all-star lineup of local musicians. He’s played with several local bands over the years, The Heritage, Wildwood and The Instant Daddios. In 2009 and 2010 he toured with Bill Wharton, aka the Sauce Boss, and played with local band The Hush Puppies. Michael recently took a hiatus from live performance to begin recording material for a new CD scheduled for release in January of next year.
