16 year-old singer/songwriter Tris Weeks has had a deep love of music since birth. Having her first performance at the age of three, her flaming passion has continued to grow. Starting in musical theatre, Tris has spent the majority of her years in and out of rehearsals and private lessons. She studied rock vocals and songwriting at Interlochen Arts Academy in northern Michigan over the past year. Playing guitar, piano, and classically trained in voice, she is influenced primarily by 60s/70s classic rock and modern alternative. Her songs are soul-searching, and poetically explore the wonders of love, self-empowerment, society, and the power in selflessness. With roots in Chicago, the windy city’s mark on Tris’s sound is evident. Performing at open mics, Gallery Nights, and organizing benefit concerts to raise money for pediatric cancer charities, Tris is a prolific writer gearing up to release her debut EP.
