I was raised in a family of performers I spent many of my childhood days and nights traveling the west coast with road bands I literally cut my teeth on family bar and took my naps under Engineers console at our recording studio! In my teenage years I became very aware of my calling and began honing my skills for our big Move to Nashville! By then my mother had married The infamous Singer/songwriter Tommy Collins (Leonard) who would have a major influence on molding and shaping who I would become as a performer and songwriter! I had already learned early in life how to keep working as a back-up and lead singer, which would help sustain me for my many years in Nashville. I was Signed to Step One Records in the mid 90′s The Song “Waitin for the Phone to Ring” Was number1 on The International Charts! I have played in studio or on the road with such artist as Merle Travis, Haggard, and Kilgore, Tracy Lawrence, Bird, and Adkins, Hank Jr., Tanya Tucker, Warren Haynes, Dennis Robbins, Clinton Gregory and Jones just to name a few. Mila Mason, Deanna Carter and I were all part of a girl group in the 90′s called “Angels on the Range”. From that union The Song “Did I Shave My Legs For This?” was noticed and later recorded by co-writer Carter which went on to become a 5 million seller, as well as receiving two Grammy Award Nominees in 1998 for “Country Song Of The Year” and “Performance Of A Country Song”. It was also re-invented by Cledius T. Judd (” Did I Shave My Back for This” ?)This was nominated for ACM Comedy video of the year! The song was also used for Bell South commercial! I have been a model for Western Wear, Pepsi Cola and various TV ads and video appearances through the years. In 2005′ a song I co-wrote with Earl Clark had international success once again topping the charts in over 20 countries Titled “Somethin Bad Bout My Baby”. I am now remarried to a Pediatric Oncologist and raising my 11 year old son down on the Gulf Of Mexico. I perform in three different bands ( Johnny B and “The Lucky Dogs”),(Petty-Hart Duo), and( “The Honky Tonk Angels”) I can honestly say life has never been better and I enjoy my music more than ever!
