Webb Dalton | Pensacola Beach Songwriter's Festival 2011

Singer/Songwriter, Webb Dalton co-produced his latest CD, “Mine’s Bigger” with friend and fellow singer/songwriter, Keith Sykes of Memphis, who has written songs recorded by the Judds “This Country’s Rockin’”, Jimmy Buffett “Volcano”, and “Coast of Marseilles”, along with several others.

Webb’s current CD reveals the musical influences he experienced from his early childhood years in Montgomery, Alabama, growing up, listening to and performing songs by Jimmy Rogers, Merle Haggard, Delbert McClinton, Hank Williams and Lynyrd Skynyrd to his Memphis influences of Jerry Lee Lewis, Elvis, Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins, Charlie Rich, B.B. King, and the Amazing Rhythm Aces.

Webb’s style of music has been described as “Rockabilly Honk Tonkin’ Rock N Roll”, and although not a fan of labels, believes it to be a pretty accurate description. Webb has been described as a songwriters, songwriter.

The title cut, “Mine’s Bigger” came from a conversation he was having with his son. “My son had called me on the phone and had told me he was headed over to a buddy’s house. My son is 18 years old, 6’3 and weighs about 260 lbs and has never had a problem telling me he loves me and giving me hugs, no matter who’s around. I told him to be careful. He told me he loved me, and I told him I loved him, he told me he loved me more, I told him I loved him more, he told me mines bigger, and I told him my loves bigger. I knew after I said it, I had to write it”.
Webb’s past CD’s resulted in appearances on TNN and CMT, two chart singles and released a video, “Honk If You Wanna Honky Tonk” which aired on CMT and GAC. Webb has opened shows for several artists including Garth Brooks, Randy Travis, George Strait, George Jones, and many others. He has also performed for former President George W. Bush. When not in the studio or writing, you can find Webb playing along the Gulf Coast and on World Famous Beale Street in Memphis, TN. Webb is also a 21 year veteran Police Officer with the Bartlett Police Department in Bartlett, TN.
