Raised in Meridian, Ms during the 50's, the home of "The Jimmie Rodger Memorial" instilled the love of music that has lasted almost a life time. Playing lead guitar as a teen in a local group he became a professional before his 17th birthday. After completing his corporate business career in Fort Lauderdale, Fl at the age of 41, he turned his sight back to the one thing that always made him happy, music and playing guitar. This time moving to Nashville to pursue songwriting. Before his 43rd. birthday he had co-written 5 national charted songs, Ray Charles, Gene Watson, Ed Bruce, Eloise Laws and The Moody Brothers, plus opening a recording studio with his partner, world class jazz guitarist Mike Elliott, "Magic Tracks". Other artist recordings, Bobby Whitlock with Eric Clapton, Dorothy Moore, Darryl Vincent, Joe Firth to name a few. Recently a feature artist himself on Catbone Records "Belly Full Of Blues" and the co-writer of the theme song for the movie "Happy Log" Now semi retired and living in Evergreen, Al with his partner and love Reneda. Together, they are the proud owner, co-founders of "The Pensacola Beach Songwriters Festival". In May 2017, Jim was awarded the "Mississippi Dreamers Achievement Award - 2017" for his contribution to Mississippi Music.
