BERNIE NELSON
Seasoned seems to be the best way to describe Bernie Nelson. Both as a writer and a performer. With over 30 million certified sales of songs he has written for some of country music’s biggest artists, he has learned the craft of writing songs that last over time. He credits his close relationship with songwriting icons like Guy Clark, Red Lane, Mac Davis, and Wayne Carson, to name a few, with his ability to remove the filters from his songs. ” Songs are nothing more than everyday conversations put to music” is one of Nelson’s favorite perspectives on songwriting. Bernie’s songs have been recorded by such artists as Conway Twitty, Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson, Randy Travis, Kenny Chesney, Trace Adkins, Kenny Chesney, Wynonna, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Chris Ledoux, and many others. As a veteran performer, he is ever so comfortable while entertaining his audiences. You feel like you are a part of the evening and equally connected to his rich history by way of his stories that Nelson paints during one of his shows. It is an intimate connection that you feel right away. Bernie Nelson, songwriter, artists, student of life.

Trucking cross country for over 45 years, and over 4 million miles, owner/operator Nathan Robinson has had plenty of long days and nights to think about his life and how to put much of it into song. COLLEEN LLOY
Like many artists, Collen Lloy has a story of courage and stamina where she quit her job, sold everything she owned, and on a wing and a prayer, moved to Nashville. It did not take long for the industry to realize this lady has major chemistry and charisma on and off stage. Coined the “chameleon” by many, she proves she has an unusual style of singing, able to cover any type of music with ease.
Colleen LLoy has literally played all over the U.S. and abroad, including USO shows in Italy. She is a frequent guest at the nationally known Bluebird Café, has done television and radio broadcasts, and has opened up for artists like Billy Dean, Paul Overstreet, John Berry, Lee Greenwood, George Jones, Billy Ray Cyrus, Tanya Tucker, John Anderson, and many others. Lloy had the rare privilege of interviewing Mr. B.B. King for a proposed television show, which she indicates is the highlight of her music career thus far. She also performed with Mick Fleetwood in Maui.
Colleen is a valued part of our Community Outreach Program and will be writing with a Veteran this year for the Let Freedom Sing! event.
