Corey Evitts is a multi-instrumentalist, singer, and songwriter from Paducah, Kentucky. Evitts grew up across the river in Metropolis, Illinois, and has been playing several instruments and writing songs since childhood. Throughout high school and college, he primarily played lead electric guitar in rock bands. He began playing solo shows in 2014, and now performs more than 20 times each month at wineries, restaurants, bars, and private parties in Kentucky, Missouri, Indiana, and Illinois. Evitts has distinguished himself as a live performer by playing music from all popular genres, and eras, including 50's and 60's country, hip hop, hard rock, modern pop, and everything in between. “When you come to hear me play, you will hear everything from Conway to Bruno,” Evitts says with a smile. His songwriting influences are as diverse as his live set lists. He incorporates a variety of instruments into his live shows, and is known for his percussive approach to playing the acoustic guitar. He uses a kick drum to augment the rhythmic expressions of his guitar. “I could tell early on, when I began playing solo shows, that I would have to learn to fill out the sound by myself. People want to have the experience of hearing a full band, so they have something to groove to. I am constantly trying to find new ways to achieve that as a solo performer.” Evitts debuted at the Pensacola Beach Songwriter’s Festival in 2016, and is very excited to showcase his music again this year.
